360 Mobility

by Halee Janes

A website launch is always cause for a celebration. It takes a long process to create a website that not only looks good but works for the client. So there it is: 360Mobility.com.

When designing a website, I spend about 4 hours of research and development time, working with color schemes and concept sketches before Nicole Goodhue, Graphic designer, ever touches Photoshop. The more you talk about concepts, the more a refined design comes into fruition. We search the web for inspiration (including seeing what others are doing on Dribbble), but often grab design books along the way. Get a good creative brief and learn the organization well enough so that you can properly represent your client on the web. From bare bones to nicely dressed takes some time; so find yourself some patience and tenacity. Adding the perfect font always makes a large impact on the site. A font can either make or break the site.

Due to the nature of 360 Mobility’s business, we went with a responsive grid that’s based off the 960 grid system. The responsive grid allows the website to adapt to the size of the browser, making it look good whether you’re viewing it on a 27″ iMac or an iPhone.

Think small and not big when you’re designing a website.  It’s always the smallest details that can take the website from being good to sexy.
